When first arriving to our shop, don’t let the old neon Firestone sign fool you! We are Norwood Auto Service, an independently owned automotive shop that has been providing quality car care in Chicago, Illinois since 1971. The owner, Fred Scheidt, started working at the shop almost 50 years ago as a young teenager, and is now in the process of handing over the reigns to his son, Erik. We take pride in being a family owned business and work to deliver honest and professional repair and maintenance services to keep your car on the road for as long as possible! Norwood Auto Service is a certified Napa AutoCare Center and we hold ourselves to the highest standards for our parts, products, and services. One of our unique qualities is that we perform digital vehicle inspections which allows customers to get up-close and personal with their cars and see from the perspectives of the technicians. It’s our belief that providing our customers with the right knowledge empowers them to feel in control when making decisions about their vehicle.
